TEZ TOUR has reached Austrian market

Tour operator TEZ TOUR announced its new destination – Austria. The program starts at the beginning of winter season but will continue as year round destination. Old-timers of Austrian destination are surprised by such a choice and keep on talking about the hardships that TEZ TOUR may have.

In winter TEZ TOUR will offer skiing, excursion and combined tours, in summer – excursion tours. The priority is given to Salzburg region and its most popular resorts. Besides TEZ TOUR is considering working with other regions, as well. They also plan to start a new charter chain for their programs.

Tour Operators that have been working for years on this destination think that TEZ TOUR may have some problems starting to work with this destination cause of the specific of skiing market. All the operators conclude the Agreements directly with the objects of accommodation and these objects are rather small, mostly cozy family hotels. Tour Operators have been working with them for years. So, probably, TEZ TOUR has to start working with less popular resorts at the beginning.

TEZ TOUR officials say that Austria was not chosen by chance. It’s the most popular skiing destination for Russians and the popularity has been growing constantly. Last year growth was more than 30%. TEZ TOUR got through that is going to offer a new approach for forming a tour package, expecting to press other participants of the market. “We have been looking for Austria for a long period and we are thinking that it’s the best time to start a game” – says Maria Makarkova, PR Director of TEZ TOUR. “The slump in demand will help to negotiate with the partners. Nevertheless we will offer qualitative tour product that has not been offered before by Tour Operators”.
