The demand for sea cruises has been increasing
The interest in the cruise product of the Middle East has been increasing. Such tendency was noted by the regional subdivision of the Royal Caribbean Cruises. According to the company’s estimates, the volume of the sales for the region increased by more than 30% during the period from January to October 2011. The tour operators state the good sales for winter season and an increasing activity of early booking for 2012.
The Russian operators note a great interest in sea cruises of our citizens as well. “The hit of sales for the moment can be called the cruise to South America which includes the visit to carnival in Rio de Janeiro. The price starts from 1399 USD without air tickets”, said Ilya Melititskiy from Breeze Line. He also added that the popularity of this route can be explained by the visa free regime with the majority of the countries of South America. It’s still possible to buy winter cruises for good price to the Caribbean, Australia and New Zealand.
According to Mr. Melititskiy, the absolute trend of summer season remains the cruises with route St. Petersburg-St. Petersburg. Despite the fact that the first cruise will be on June 20 and the price starts from 2300 USD, a lot of bookings are in process now.
