About 11 million passengers were transported from Moscow airports during the first six months of the year

10 997 300 passengers were transported from Moscow airports during the first six months of 2010, reported Russian Aviation Authority. This number exceeds the data of the same period of the last year for 29%.
According to the Federal Agency of Air Transport, the highest number of the passengers were transported in June – 2 462 500 people (+23% to compare with the same period of last year). A considerable growth of passenger traffic was registered in February. The number of passengers sent during this month surpassed the indicator of February, 2009 for 38.7% and amounted 1 433 700 passengers.
62 944 charter flights of Russian and foreign air companies were operated during the first six months of 2010.
The highest number of the passengers were sent from Domodedovo in June – 1 035 900 people, then went Sheremetyevo with 969 400 passengers and Vnukovo with 457 200 passengers. A considerable growth of the passenger traffic in June showed Sheremetyevo airport. The number of transported passengers surpassed the indicator of the same period of last year for 37.5%.
The total number of passengers, that were transported in June from Moscow airports, amounted 2 462 500 people (+23.4% in comparison with June, 2009).
