Prielbrusye resorts will compete with Krasnaya Polyana

It’s planning to put Prielbrusye to international level of service. According to the President of Kabardino-Balkaria Arsen Kanokov, skiing resorts of the region should offer more comfortable facilities than the resorts of other regions.
A desire for developing of the resorts of Prielbrusye was based on the development and construction of new resorts-competitors: Krasnaya Polyana in Sochi, Mamison in Severnaya Osetia, Laganaki in Adygeya. The times when the only competitors of Prielbrusye resorts were the holiday hotels in Dombay have already passed.
“Krasnaya Polyana is a serious competitor for Prielbrusye. Thereareseveralreasons. First of all, it’s a good location of the resort near airport and railway station, secondly, good hotels of higher level than in Prielbrusye. And soon there will be more hotels in Krasnaya Polayana. So the issue of developing of service is basic and it will define the leading resort in the future”, noted Angelika Pikalova, Director of Promotion Department of Lanta-tur Voyage.
The authorities of Prielbrusye are planning to reconstruct the resorts, including construction and repairing of cable railways, skiing tracks and development of infrastructure. The project with the budget of 107 billion rubles was included into the concept plan of the socio-economic development of Northern Caucasus Federal District.
