Tour operators noted the increase of the demand for the excursions in Moscow among the foreigners

The tour operators have noted a considerable increase of the demand for the excursions in Moscow among the foreigners this year. Besides the traditional excursions such as: The Kremlin, Pushkin Museum and Tretyakov Gallery, the foreign tourists have started to choose more unusual programs. According to Larisa Zazulina, Director of  Reisebuero WELT (Interfax), the longer the tourists stay in Moscow the more original programs they choose.

Larisa Zazulina said that a lot of foreigners are interested in visiting Moscow subway. In addition, the tourists are amazed by the friendliness of the citizens of Moscow and by their habits to give place to the elderly people.   

It should be noted, that according to Federal State Statistics Service, the number of the foreign citizens who visited Russia for the first quarter of 2010 increased by 1.3% in comparison with the same period of 2009, amounting to 187 thousand people.
