Kamchatka is popular among the foreign tourists

2 846 foreign tourists from 51 countries visited Kamchatskiy krai during the first 6 months of 2010.
The leading countries-suppliers of the tourists became the USA (697), Republic of Korea (183), Canada (182), Japan (165), Germany (148) and France (125).
In addition, it’s interesting to note, that 2 cruise ships have entered Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy port during the summer season. These were the ships “Amsterdam” (880 passengers) and “Clipper Odyssey” (106 passengers).
The interest to Kamchatka can’t be called accidental, as the region has participated in all major international travel exhibitions in Russia and abroad.
According to Russiatourism, on July 16, 2010 a new regional Internet portal was presented. The web site will be very useful for those who plan to visit the region, as a lot of important information concerning the hotels, excursions, cafes, weather, tour operators, etc. is placed on this portal.
