According to ATOR Analytical Service, 2 week tours with 4* half board accommodation have been popular this season in Spain. Costa Dorada became the most popular destination among the Russians.
The most popular tour operators
TOP 3 operators’ list of TourIndex system from May to July includes Capital Tour (6.6%), TEZ TOUR (6.4%) and Natalie Tours (6.1%). The next positions take Coral Travel (5.8%), Lanta-tur Voyage (5.1%), Pegas Touristik (4.4%), NTK Intourist (4.3%), Ascent Travel (3.9%), Vremya-Tour (3.7%) and PUTESHESTVUI Group of Companies. Megapolus tours, Neva and Vand International Tour have equal share of 3%. More than 58% of the requests in TourIndex system were for 13 operators.
Where do the Russians have vacations?
The most popular regions in Spain according to the requests inTourindex during the period from May to July 2010 became Costa Dorada (27.7%), Costa Brava (19.9%), Mallorca (17.2%), Tenerife (11.7%), Costa del Sol (5.3%), Costa del Maresme (4.1%) and Costa Blanca (3.2%).
According to TourIndex system, the most popular trips are 2 week tours (17.4%), 10 nights (15%), 11 nights (12.6%), 1 week tours (12.2%) and 12 nights (9.5%). The majority of the tourists chose 4* hotels with half board (45.7%), 5* hotels (24.5%) and 3* hotels (23.9%).
