Medvedev offered the compatriots to have holidays in Russia
17.10.2011
The President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev offered the Russians to have holidays in their own country instead of going abroad.
The Head of the State suggested taking the cue from the citizens of the United States. “The majority of them have holidays in their own country, their country is big and beautiful, and they don’t think that it’s wrong. When we treat our immense and extremely beautiful motherland as the Americans do, I think we will be the true citizens of our country,” cites RIA Novosti.
The President also noted that he personally didn’t go for the holidays abroad and called his supporters to demonstrate their attitude to this matter. “So let us have the holidays at home, let us develop our territories as it’s a very important matter,” concluded Mr Medvedev.
