The Russians chose Cyprus

A recent report of the Ministry of Tourism of Cyprus showed a dramatic increase of the number of the Russians who visited the island. The number increased by 53.3% in comparison with the same period of last year.
At the same time, the travel industry of Cyprus has served for 0.6% less visitors in comparison with 2009. 275 280 tourists arrived in Cyprus in June. The number of tourists entering the country with tourist visas has amounted 877 958 since the beginning of the year. The majority of the visitors traditionally come from the UK (+3%); the second place takes the Russians.
Travel agents think that the main reason of the growing popularity of Cyprus can be noted due to the stabilization of the price on a reasonable level and it helps to attract middle class tourists.
