Aeroflot was fined for the rudeness to the tourist

Aeroflot air company was fined for the bad treatment of the citizen of India. In October 2007 the tourist flew by transit flight from London to Mumbai via Moscow, but due to the weather conditions the flights was delayed. The passenger wanted to let his daughter know about the delay. Aeroflot personnel refused to help him, says RIA Novosti.
According to the materials of the Commission of consideration of consumers' complaints in Mumbai, all the public telephones in the airport worked only with some special cards and didn’t accept the money. It was impossible to buy the phone card during the night. So the passenger asked some personnel of the Aeroflot to give him permission for a call, but was refused. Now air carrier will pay 1.1 thousand US dollars to this passenger. However, the sum is 4 times less than the passenger demanded initially.
Aeroflot reported in its justification, that they provided the passenger with the coupons for the meal and offered a seat in business class for the flight to India.
